I am a chartered surveyor (a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and RICS Registered Valuer having worked in the property industry for over 40 years.

I was until 2025 a director of Savills within the firm's Housing Division where I worked for over 35 years, specialising in valuation-related matters, mostly concerning affordable housing.  

I trained originally as an agricultural surveyor & land agent, qualifying as such before beginning my career in Savills’ development consultancy business acting for landowners and housebuilder developers.

WH Cotterell & Son Ltd was established in 2026 to build on that experience and to offer clients a service tailored to their individual needs.
